Life can flash by so quickly. How can it be denied that one should live every possible moment being happy and having fun? For those who get the bug…and there are many out there…theater is a blast. Rehearsing is fun, but audience feedback is out of this world!! Scott Kolod has lived his life with this philosophy ever since he started off acting in New York in Flower Drum Song in the early Sixties. He has continuously performed, written, directed and produced musical performances until today. Along the way, he received his Bachelors of Science in Education from Indiana University, and his Doctorate from University of San Diego. It is that wealth of experience combined with the academic foundation that Scott passes on to his students. But, to really show him how kids have fun, he has learned from his own five children. Together they have developed countless games, and even more stories and play-plots. Scott has produced two original musicals in which he wrote all of the music, lyrics and dialogue. They both received positive critical periodical review, though neither is headed to Broadway. Maybe his next one "Charter Valley" will be the break through. FUN, LEARNING AND PRIDE!

Meredith’s background is in the area of business finance and office administration.  She has worked as a financial manager and office manager at some of the most prestigious law firms in San Diego. As a youth, she was always interested in being behind the scenes in theater, eschewing the limelight of performing on stage.  She continues that love.  She is the business and organizational genius behind STAR.  And though you might not see her in the shadows, STAR is truly her vision and creation.

Amanda Frawley is currently in college studying Theatre and Child Development, and will be receiving her Bachelor’s degree in short order. Over the recent years, she has focused her theatrical efforts on the production end of Youth Theater, directing such hit musicals as Wizard Of Oz and Tom Sawyer. However, Amanda also continues to perform.  Some of her past lead roles include Grease (Rizzo), Oklahoma! (Laurey), Les Miserables (Madame Thenardier), Guys and Dolls (Adelaide), and Nunsense (Sister Hubert).  Youth Theater, and mentors like the Kolods, made Amanda the person that she is today.  Now she is excited to bring that experience and teaching to a new flock of children.

Sarah Gates-Lozier has had her award-winning direction and choreography presented at professional venues in New Mexico, Las Vegas, and California since 1998.  She also has an extensive corporate Marketing background, heading Marketing and Development programs for three Fortune 500 companies.
